AMY

Howdy all! I'm Amy, the country cousin in the Rolar Shih Tzu gang. I hail from the California coastal mountains, and am "countrified" because of my rangy homemade haircuts. Most people think I am an Ewok. My (human) mom knows that I'm scared of noisy blow dryers and barking dogs, so she does all my grooming at home like Rob does with my mom, Jasmin, my Uncle Cody, and Cousins Mira and Star. Here is a picture of us altogether.

Amy and Oscar went to visit the "relatives" while they were at a dog show close by.

My best friend is Oscar, a Yellow Lab, who was born two days after me and was at my new home (after Rob's) when I got there as a puppy. At first I thought that Oscar was my new mom because he was in a crate right next to mine and went every where that I did and was (and still is) big, warm, and protective. Here is a shot of the two of us. Everyone says, "Here comes Mutt and Jeff".

Oscar and I are best buddies!

Because Oscar needs a considerable amount of exercise every day (all Labs do), we go "work out" at a nearby tree farm where Oscar runs wild while I trot and sometimes get carried.

The tree farm is a perfect place for a nice stroll.

The view from here is breathtaking!

I really get my exercise on my walks.

Here I am ready to take a nap. I may be in the best shape of any Tzu around, but boy, do I love just chewing on a stick and lounging like our ancestors, the Tibetan Pillow Dogs.

Laying in the sun is one of my favorite things to do.

Oscar and I go to work two days a week. We are "Pet Therapists" at a convalescent hospital and a priests' retirement home. Here are some photos of me on the job. I get to sit on lots of laps and beds and get lots of strokes and cuddles. (It's a hard job, but somebody's got to do it. ) A Shih Tzu is made to order for all the lap work because we're not too heavy or nervous, and we seem to be able to sit forever. It's just important that we show up for work clean as a whistle because the folks that handle us appreciate that.

So long. I'm hitting the road. (in the car)

I am always so anxious to go to work.
