ELVIS

I saw my Mommy for the first time when I was 4 weeks old. She said she’d been looking for the right baby for a long time, and I was “The One”. She told me when I was old enough, she would take me with her to the beach, to my Forever Home. I wasn’t quite sure what that meant, but it sounded like fun!! When I turned 12 weeks old, Mommy and Daddy came to get me, and off I went to start my new adventure. I love it here - sand, surf, and tons of toys!! I get to go on walks and play everyday, and I have a huge bed I let Mom and Dad share with me. I've made lots of friends, and everyone in the neighborhood knows me-they say "Look, here come Elvis!". Sometimes we'll see people in town that I don't recognize, and they'll ask my mommy if I'm Elvis. She smiles and says yes, and I wiggle my tail and say HI. I decided I wanted to go to school, so Mommy enrolled me in Competition Obedience classes. I hope I win lots of ribbons – they’re fun to chew on!!! She said I could become a Therapy Dog too, and I would get to help people feel better. I would like that, so we put it on our “to do” list. My new life here is wonderful. Now I know what a Forever Home means, and I’m glad I was The One.
